Asia: Japanese GDP for the second quarter is expected at 23:50 GMT on Sunday with a forecast of 0.6%. China will publish data on investments in fixed assets and industrial production at 02:00 GMT. Growth is expected at 8.6% and 7.2% respectively.

Europe: Eurozone industrial production data for June is expected at 09:00 GMT.

Tuesday

Asia: Japanese industrial production data for June is expected at 04:30 GMT.

Europe: Germany’s GDP for the second quarter will be published at 08:30 GMT with a 0.6% growth forecast. In the meantime, CPI and PPI for July will be published in the UK.

United States: The first reports from the United States, including retail sales with a growth forecast of 0.4%, import and export indices with a growth forecast of both by 0.1% and a manufacturing index from the New York Empire State, will come at 12:30 GMT. Data on commercial inventories for June is expected at 14:00 GMT, and long-term transactions from TIC will be published at 20:00 GMT.

Wednesday

Europe: The average salary index + bonus, changes in the number of job applications and the UK unemployment rate for June are expected at 08:30 GMT. Europe’s GDP for the second quarter follows at 09:00 GMT with a 0.6% growth forecast.

USA: Data on building permits and housing for July will be published at 12:30 GMT with a forecast of 1.246 and 1.222 million units.

Asia: Export figures and Japan’s trade balance for July are expected at 23:50 GMT with forecasts of 13.6% and 392 billion yen.

Thursday

Europe: The UK will begin to report first, reporting retail sales for July at 08:30 GMT. Attention will also be directed to CPI and figures on the trade balance for July at 09:00 GMT.

US: The Philly Fed manufacturing index for August and industrial production data for July will be published at 12:30 and 13:15 GMT, respectively. The Energy Information Administration will publish a weekly report on oil reserves at 14:30 GMT.

Friday

Europe: Germany’s PPI is expected at 06:00 GMT.

USA: The University of Michigan will publish its consumer expectations and sentiment at 14:00 GMT with a forecast of 93.9.
